School After school Clubs

Each term we intend to offer a variety of before and after school activities including sports, music, arts and crafts and dance. We offer these clubs to enrich our curriculum and offer the children a richer and broader curriculum. Hopefully these clubs will spark a child’s interest, develop a growing talent as well as being enjoyable. If you require consistent before and after school provision please book places with Grovelands Active.

The majority of these clubs will be run by Grovelands staff and there will be no charge. However, where we have to bring in specialists from outside school to run the club we will need to make a charge to parents/carers.

All clubs will run from 3.30pm to 4.30pm and will be targeted at different year groups. We expect all children to maintain the behaviour expectations we have during the school day at these clubs. If behaviour expectations are not adhered to parents/carers will be informed that their child will no longer be able to attend. These clubs are run voluntarily and should also be an enjoyable experience for the staff member running them.

Information about each club will be emailed out to parents outlining the information about the club. Each club will have a maximum number of pupils that can attend and places will be offered on a first come basis. To manage applications parents/carers will need to email the clubs email on Applications will only be processed after the club has been advertised and not before.

If a payment is required for the club your child would like to attend this must be made before you can secure your child's place. Please send cash in an envelope to the school office labelled with the club name and your child’s name and class. In the future, we will be using Parentpay to make payments for clubs.

Please note that children taking part in sports clubs are required to wear their Grovelands PE kit.

All after school activities finish at 4.30pm and all children must be picked up by a nominated adult.

The clubs we intend to offer this year are:

Running Club
Football Club
Hockey Club
Cricket Club
Computing Club
Drama Club
Forest School
