Welcome to Grovelands Acorns Nursery. We take children from 2-4 years of age. If you would like your child to join our wonderful Nursery Provision, then the following procedures apply. To make an appointment to come and have a look round our setting, please call us on 01323 840062. Applications forms are available from the Nursery.

Once we have received your completed application form, we will book your child in.

A welcome pack containing all the information you need, including a confirmation of sessions booked, uniform, fees etc will be sent out within two weeks of receiving your completed form. Whilst most children join us in September, if spaces are available we do take children in January and April.

If you are in receipt of 2yr or 30hr funding, we also ask that you supply a copy of your letter confirming your eligibility. All children from the term after they turn 3 years of age are automatically entitled to receive 15hrs free childcare. We also accept childcare vouchers.

We currently offer 48 full-time equivalent places for two year olds and three year olds. 10 places allocated for two year olds and 38 places allocated for three year olds.

This is made up of full-time places of 30 hours and part- time places of 15 hours up to 30 hours depending on need of parent/carer. 

The day sessions run from 8.40am to 3.15pm on a Monday to Thursday. The Friday session runs from 8.40am-12.20pm.

The morning part time session is 8.40am-11.40am and the afternoon session is 12.10pm -3.15pm.

We offer full-time places to eligible working parents. Non-eligible parents can pay a top-up fee of £8 per hour to increase from part-time to full-time hours five days per week.

There are no charges for any additional resources for the curriculum or children's personal hygiene eg nappies. We only charge for trips outside of school if required.

We charge parents/carers for lunch if they select a hot meal. The cost of this is £3 per meal.
