School Priorities

Development Plan for the academic year

Each year we identify areas within the school that need to be developed, these priorities are set based on the school’s evaluation of its performance during that academic year. We then create a School Development Plan for the academic year.

These are our School Development Priorities for 2019-2020:

To improve progress and attainment of pupils across the school in the core subject areas.
To strengthen provision for SEND pupils by addressing certain aspects of the school’s practice.
To improve standards in English by addressing key concepts in grammar, punctuation and spelling.
To further develop pupil’s experience of reading and applying this to their writing.
To improve standards in maths across the school by strengthening the teaching of specific concepts.
To improve the effectiveness and impact of leaders at all levels through the school particularly the leadership of non-core subject areas.
To continue to secure further improvements in EYFS provision.
