School Priorities

Development Plan for the academic year

Each year we identify areas within the school that need to be developed, these priorities are set based on the school’s evaluation of its performance during that academic year. We then create a School Development Plan for the academic year.

These are our School Development Priorities for 2018-2019:

1
To continue to raise attainment in reading, writing and maths through high quality teaching and rigorous assessment procedures. This academic year we are particularly focusing on aspects of maths through our ‘Teaching for mastery’ approach and writing across all subject areas.
1
To raise standards in basic skills through targeted teaching of handwriting and spelling.
1
To continue to improve rates of progress and levels of attainment for targeted groups ( Pupils eligible for pupil premium funding, SEND pupils and most able pupils)
1
To ensure good standards of learning across all subject areas.
1
To enhance the provision within our Early Years by securing improvements to children’s outdoor learning.
